Governor Polis to Attend AI for Government Showcase on June 20 Hosted by Colorado Smart Cities Alliance

The AI for Government (AI4G) Showcase event is intended to give government representatives the tools that they need to effectively leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address existing challenges in their communities.


Media is invited to cover the AI for Government (AI4G) Showcase. The event is scheduled to happen Thursday, June 20, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the CSU Spur – Hydro Lobby. The address is 4777 National Western Drive, Denver, CO 80216 (click here for parking information).

Denver, CO [June 14, 2024] –  The Colorado Smart Cities Alliance will host Colorado Governor Jared Polis at their inaugural AI for Government (AI4G) Showcase from 3 – 6 pm on Thursday, June 20 at CSU Spur – Hydro Lobby (4777 National Western Drive). The governor’s remarks are scheduled for 4 pm, along with remarks from Colorado State Representative Brianna Titone and Iliff School of Theology Vice President of Innovation, Learning and Research Ted Vial. Iliff School of Theology, Iliff AI Institute is the event’s title sponsor.

The Alliance, founded in 2017, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the vision of creating a statewide digital and collaborative ecosystem that improves quality of life for all Coloradans. With a membership of over 70 government, business, and allied organizations, the Alliance is focused on educating its stakeholders about responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to advance communities through innovation. 

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with exposition vendors whose technology will be on display. Attendees are encouraged to see the technology in action and ask questions of the solution providers. There will also be food and happy hour drinks available during this networking.

The AI for Government (AI4G) Showcase is the culminating event of a three-part series with the goal of providing public sector decision-makers with the tools that they need to effectively leverage AI to address challenges in their community. Past events in this series include two webinars: How it Works and Ethics & Responsible Use.
