Adaptative Signal Project

A multi-jurisdictional partnership between Alliance members the City of Lone Tree, the City of Centennial, the City of Greenwood Village (as well as partners at the Park Meadows Metro District and SPIMD) was created to design and implement an innovate traffic control system along the Yosemite Corridor between Lincoln Avenue and Belleview Avenue. The corridor will be upgraded to an Adaptive Signal system that will allow for real time traffic volumes to help make decisions to improve travel times, safety, and efficiency for all modes on the corridor. The cities of Lone Tree and Centennial have been working with private sector companies Blyncsy and Orange Trafficto install sensors along Yosemite and side streets to begin to collect real time traffic data along. This data will be used as the baseline for the corridor and provides a dashboard to allow both agencies to review, learn, and make decisions based on the results. The implementation of the Adaptive signal system is scheduled for Early 2020.
